6. Reflection on use of ICT in classroom (2nd post in the month of October)

On 18th October, I taught
English in class five about “Friendly letter.” I began the lesson by revising
the yesterday lesson and asking questions to connect the today’s lesson.
After the introduction of the lesson
I directly switch onto the activity, first I divided the class into four groups
of six members each as laptop is limited. I have set up the class with laptop
for each group. The laptops were opened and Wi-Fi facility is connected to each
of the laptop. I have instructed them not to touch the laptop until I told them
to do so. Then I have displayed the activity direction and instruction to go
about with the internet. The students had done wonderful task after following the
instruction. 
The works done by students using ICT brought a great impact to
them and easier for teacher to teach.
The lesson was very successful and significant
as students were learned openly using technology. Children learn better in by
using the ICT tools in than normal classroom teaching. I also found that
learning by hands on experience makes them learn better
Therefore, I conclude that 21st
children are much better in exploring ICT themselves. And teacher needs to
prepare ICT application lesson to them.

ReplyDeleteIntegrating ICT in our teaching and learning has been a very effective ways to impart eduaction to our young learners as they get clear concept of the topic. Beside you also gave hands on practice to use computer and which has added colours to your teaching. And one thing I really appreciated was the arrangement of laptop for each group though your school was in remote place. Now a days our children can easily handle the ICT tools on their own and we just need to provide platform. Good initiatives.

ReplyDeleteKk good that you are using ICT facilities that you have in your school. I would appreciate if you have mentioned the activities that you have given to your children and the work that they have done. I didn't notice the activities of children.

ICT really works.
ICT has lately been the most powerful tool in the teaching and learning field. To make our cocept very clear its always wise to use one ICT tools in our teaching. But we should also remember the dos and dont of ICT before hand to avoid any complication later.
ReplyDeleteYou have integrated ict in teaching on how to write friendly letter. You have done so many things using laptops with internet conncectivity....but what did your children do in the laptop? You could have mentioned the activity that students have carry out. By going through your post you have made your children to do something. Just my feelings la.
