6. Reflection on use of ICT in classroom (2nd post  in the month of October)
SUBJECT; English V
Topic; Friendly letter
Learning materials; laptop

On 18th October, I taught English in class five about “Friendly letter.” I began the lesson by revising the yesterday lesson and asking questions to connect the today’s lesson.

After the introduction of the lesson I directly switch onto the activity, first I divided the class into four groups of six members each as laptop is limited. I have set up the class with laptop for each group. The laptops were opened and Wi-Fi facility is connected to each of the laptop. I have instructed them not to touch the laptop until I told them to do so. Then I have displayed the activity direction and instruction to go about with the internet. The students had done wonderful task after following the instruction.

The works done by students using ICT brought a great impact to them and easier for teacher to teach.
The lesson was very successful and significant as students were learned openly using technology. Children learn better in by using the ICT tools in than normal classroom teaching. I also found that learning by hands on experience makes them learn better

Therefore, I conclude that 21st children are much better in exploring ICT themselves. And teacher needs to prepare ICT application lesson to them.

5. 1st reflection in the month of October
Use of ICT in classroom
SUBJECT; English V
Topic; let’s advertisement
Materials; Laptops

On 3th October, I taught English in class five about “Let’s Advertisement.” For this lesson, I have integrated ICT as a means of teaching and learning. To present the lesson I have used laptops.
First I have a reading activity with the students to get the meaning of the advertisement. To do the activity I have instructed all the dos and don’ts while doing the task. After they have thoroughly reading the assigned work, the volunteer students shared the meaning of the advertisement. I took around 10 minutes to complete the task.

For the second activity, I have divided the class into four groups having six members each as laptop is limited. The students were really excited when I placed laptop on each group. Then I have displayed the activity direction and instruction to go about with the laptop. The students did the task following the instruction. They were happy to learn the lesson through use of laptop.
I found that students were very first to browse the internet. When I went around for helping, one of the groups has already done their task. Through this activity I learnt that some children are expert in accessing the internet faster than teacher.

The lesson was very fruitful and meaningful as students were learned explicitly through technology. Children do better in by using the ICT tools in the normal classroom teaching. I also noticed learning by hands on experience makes them learn better. It diverges the wide range of learning in depth with ICT tool.

Fourth Reflection on use of ict in classroom
Class; III   subject: Mathematic
Topic; Subtracting with Base Ten Blocks
Materials; Laptop

I would like to share, how I taught my class III children using video tutorial made by me for my assignment. I don’t know how good or bad it was still I used in the class to teach. The topic is about,” Subtracting with base ten blocks.” Since there are 14 students in the class, I used the laptop to teach them.

I have arranged students in semi-circle to sit and watch the video. I have introduced the topic. Then I instructed them to watch carefully. I also told about dos and don’ts while going through the video. I informed them to note if it is difficulties to understand the topic. They were excited to watch.
After they finished watching video, I have given two activities to model the number by them. I was surprised to see that all have done well. Moreover they shared about the picture they seen in the video what to do next. However they were really enjoyed the video lesson too.
Lastly, I observed that children of this day learn more by watching motion video than lecturing without any ict tools.

THIRD REFLECTION ; Smart phone used as ict learning materials
SUBJECT; English V
Topic ; The ladybug Garden

On 3rd September we had a field visit to learn the plants and insects living in the particular garden. To my surprised I learnt that most of the students do not know the names either locally nor English. Even they hadn’t seen most of the insects before. Therefore, out of concern and curiosity, I planned to teach the lesson purely base on names and pictures of the insects. Then on 4th September, I taught English in class five through pictures and names base on the topic “The Ladybug Garden.”
Before I go to the class I have used the UC browser to down load the different types of insects and saved it in my phone.  I also down loaded which isn’t in the text book so that students can recognize by them visually. My lesson starts by showing picture one by one from easy to unknown insects.
In the process of learning, in fact students were thrilled and know the names of the insects. Teaching through ICT, students could relate the names and picture clearly and visually.  The lesson was successful and meaningful as students generated the knowledge through information and communication technology out of method I delivered.

Although the lesson was boomed, but I had a tough time to show the pictures in group wise. Therefore, I could not carry out one of the activity. Henceforth I will try to use smart phone more by borrowing from other friends.

2. Use of ICT in the Teaching as Teaching Learning Materials
Subject; English PP
Date; 19th August 2019

It was milestone in the field of teaching to use ict in my class PP lesson. The topic was on “Names of Animals”. The main objective of the lesson was to know the names of different animals that have seen by themselves.

In the lesson I used the ict basically to show the students the pictures of animals. Before the lesson I browsed internet, selected best examples and saved in my smart phone. During I explained each group of animals and show pictures save in the smart phone were limited examples were provided in the text book.  It benefited a lot to covey clear information on through pictures. Student could directly differentiate by looking at the pictures.

On other hand it saves the time and resources as I need not draw the teaching learning materials. However I took little time while showing the pictures to groups as I used only one phone. The school does not have adequate ICT facilities, it really challenging despite ict have immense impact on teaching learning.

Picture for evident.

Reflection on Useof ICT in classroom

Reflection on use of ICT  in classroom
SUBJECT; English V
Grammar; use of have and has with subject agreement

On 14th August, I taught English in class five about usage of “have and has” with the subject agreement. For this lesson, I have integrated ICT as a means of teaching and learning. To present the lesson I have used you tube browser about the video clip.

I have screen the using the projector and laptop. The children were in fact very excited to see the clip.  With this, I have provided the clear direction what to do after watching the video. I also instructed to watch the video to do the next activity.

The lesson was very fruitful and meaningful as students were learned explicitly through technology.

I also noticed that teaching through video clip could diverse the wide range of learning in depth.
